Hello and welcome!
In 2008, I started a blog with the hopes of encouraging other moms. At the time, I had been emailing a little newsletter out to a handful of friends and family members and was looking for a way to send a prettier email. I stumbled upon blogging and I never looked back! Eight years later, my blog has had over a million hits. Sure, big-time bloggers see that in one month. But I will never NOT be astounded at what God has done with this little place online that I call home.
I’ve met amazing people here, and heard stories from readers that have made me laugh and cry and grow in the Lord. I’ve had support come alongside me in times of tragedy and grief, and I have online friends celebrating when something good happens. This space here is a not so little slice of my life.
Along with the wonderful community, this blog has brought about opportunities I would never have seen otherwise. I’ve been able to speak to groups and at conventions, (even at the Disneyland hotel, which officially made me the coolest mom ever!), I’ve been able to write for some amazing sites and magazines, and after writing for years, I even had my book published!
And it all started with a little idea… to send encouraging emails to moms that were in the trenches with me. Can I just say, if God puts something in your heart, please do it? You never know where it will lead you.
If you read along here with me, you’ll soon find out that I am passionate about marriage, family, and Jesus. I am a mom of girls and I share a lot about raising daughters and I’m crazy in love with homeschooling. I’ll be sharing more of my writing journey now, too, and I have a few other ideas up my sleeve.
I love hearing from readers and I’m pretty good about getting back to you. So drop me a line and let me know what God has put in your heart.

Hi Angela:
I wrote you on FB about your church. My younger son’s maternal grandparents live in your area and have been trying out a church. They are not sure if it’s a good fit for them so I thought I would ask where you worship as a possible suggestion for them.
I attended one of your seminars at CHEA last year. I have enjoyed and been challenged by your posts, and feel I relate to you in certain ways. I have two adopted boys and homeschool.
We don’t go to your area too often, but maybe sometime I could meet you there.
God bless you and your ministry to the Lord for our blessings.
